So, tell us why your service is so good. Rockauto has 5 compressors for under 200, doesn't say rebuilt or new though.

Hi Eric,
Thank you for your comment.
EDIT : I did some further checking, and it seams the the Wingcell is only on cars with part # 64528390741, (see List, 3rd photo added)
So this link from Rock Auto, does not jive with realoem.com, (above list added photo)
Here is the link to Rock Auto for an e36 1994 325Is, Link : https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...ompressor,6628, those are good prices, but they are not Wingcells.
They are most likely all Remanufactured, I have rebuilt two Four Seasons Compressors, both were recently rebuilt by them, and they both leaked within 30 days. They were sent to me by an Independent Bimmer shop in So CA. I found on one that 4 seasons re-builder never replaced the old large case o-ring, it was so old its (cross section) was mushed into a triangle shape, and did not rebound into a circle, if it was a new o-ring it would have rebounded, to a circle. When o-rings get old they loose their elasticity. And they leak.
On the second 4 seasons, a Denso I repaired, the assembler forced the shaft seal and bent it (see photo, on the right), and it leaked. (more info about o-rings on my website page 6)
Edit : The other 2 types of Compressor that I think is a waste of Money is the S/S (Seiko-Seiki) and (Calsonic), both of them do not have the 4 internal Bearings like the Wingcell, it's just (metal to metal) a very cheap version, made in the Wingcell style, vane pump.
On the e36 cars on realoem shows that the Factory installed Wingcells on even the m3's, (see photo in link)

On the Rock Auto site there are no Wingcells shown, they are all Denso and Delphi, or Four Seasons, the last one Valeo is a 10PA Seiko-Seiki.
I have seen many A/C compressors and hands down the German Behr/Bosch Wingcells are the best, they feature 4 internal Bearings, and they can use R12 or R134a, they can last forever with the occasional, 25/30 year seal replacement, as long as they do not run out of oil.

My 97 didn't come with a wing cell, but it's not an original part.
