I have a 2002 BMW 325i and the steering wheel vibrates mildly and the car also vibrates. I had the wheels aligned and balanced and still have the effect. I get vibrations around 30 mph with increasing vibrations with increasing speed. Braking doesn't affect it and happens even while turning.
Is it a wheel bearing by chance? Thanks!
Probably a bent front wheel. Jack up the front of the car one side at a time and spin the wheel by hand while closely watching the inside edge of the wheel. It should not hop up and down. What wheels and tires do you have?

I think they are stock and I'm not sure what the "specs" are for them. And by "hopping up and down" from what perspective would I be looking at the wheel? At the face from outside the car, or from the underside while laying on the ground?
Could be several possibilities,
Drive-Shaft Flex Joint(GIUBO), Front Control Arm Bushings(FCAB's), Front Control Arm Ball-Joints,
Drive-Shaft, Center Support Bearing, Wheel Bearings, Motor Mounts...etc.
I don't know your mechanical abilities or experience,
so I suggest you get it up on a lift and have the suspension inspected by someone familiar with BMW's.
The inside the wheel would be seen from under the front of the car. Focus on one spot like the bottom while spinning the tire as fast as possible by hand.
