Rear Window Seal Replacement (Sedan)

Do I need to remove the smaller rear window to replace that seal or am I able to remove the seal with the window in place? It looks like the window is held into place by the rubber so perhaps a big suction cup to pull the window out?

I can't seem to find anything on it.

I recently regreased my bottom window sliders and wrapped my door/window pillars. Yes the rubber holds it in place as well as the window track pillar. It was such a PITA. You have to remove the main rear window to access the window track that holds the rear small window and then the seal. The bentley manual has pics and locations of screws.

I couldnt figure out a way to remove the window track pillar from the door. I just removed the screws, repositioned it so i could wrap it and then mount it back in place.
