HELP! Idrive controller not working!

Hello,
I own a 2010 528i. 116k miles. I bought it with the idrive completely down.replaced the ccc myself,radio and screen is back up perfect.my idrive controller lights up but does not respond to clicking/buttons or spinning of wheel. Thought it was the controller bought one, did the same thing. Im wondering what can be wrong since it lights up ITS GOTTA BE GOOD right? No response from controller. So puzzled please help.

You need to plug into it with Ista or maybe autologic to see what is happening how the signals being processed by the system
