i have a problem... removing the aux ( Webasto) heater i needed 2 oem water hoses to reconnect everything. One was OK …
See pic... i need the hose as on top without the T , that is a specific connection to the aux heater
What i found on real oem is part # 64 21 1 370 807 as this is clearly the hose that connects the metal tube across the valley to the most left cabin heater connection ( looking from the front )
Delivered by BMW is the hose below... not right , but with that part # …
Now , my BMW ( official) dealer has no more specific pics as on real oem…. and they can't search anymore on vin # ! so they don't know…
Can anybody help please ?
First i thought i could shorten the hose and use it … but no , i lacks a extra bend to the cabin heater connection …. if i mount it ,the hose jams the engine , that won't last long ! ( pic 2 ) and it would not have anymore the "bigger" diameter for the metal tube …..
many thanks for help !

It sounds as if you are connecting the pipes the wrong way around. The left-hand connection (when viewed from the front) is the heater matrix outlet - whereas the cast-aluminium accumulator that connects across both banks is also an outlet and should connect to the aux water pump (the one fixed to the heater valves).
The return pipe (which connects to the water pump via a metal pipe 11531733350) is:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...92#11531733350
...and it is that which should be connected to the left-hand heater connection by hose 64 21 1 370 807
Although the V8 uses different hoses in that place the circuit is the same:

many thanks Timm for the help.... but it is already exactly as you say !
1) one hose was OK to connect the engine cross over accumulator outlet to the aux pump .
2) problem is the hose from thewater pump metal pipe 11531733350... to the left connection heater core . What part # is this ? if it is64 21 1 370 807 , than BMW delivered me a wrong hose….. but they claim to have the same part if ordering again….
That IS the correct part number - and I think all those hoses have the part number written on them in blue ink....

indeed Timm ,that part # is on the hose in ink.... but sure not the right hose , as you can see in the pics ..... very strange .
Below is a better diagram - but still the same part number!

indeed Timm, have seen them all... it's a very short distance that hose has to bridge , but complex preformed.

here is a pic of my engine , you can see the 2 connections to be made .
I once had another make with this type problem, very specific complex hose connections, short distances and the part was NLA. I made up pipe with copper pipe than can be formed for/to clearances and attached at ends with short length of rubber water hose to original fittings. Copper can be solder joined, split with T fittings, and ended with couplings that the rubber piece can be clamped onto etc. Soldered fittings hold up well to engine temps and vibrations too. No, it wouldn’t be original but serviceable when nothing else works. Just saying. The purist wouldn’t allow but might also be left sitting in the garage too for a long while looking for that oem part. I guess aluminum also could be used but it is much harder to form and weld competently.
just heard from another 850 wrencher that he had the same problem ... years ago ! so i believe BMW delivers another hose ( even from another model , as i don't see that hose on a 850 ) but we can use a part of it ... i cut it to lenght , heated the end so it go's over the bigger diameter metal tube and rotate it a bit before clamp fix keeps it away from the engine , to avoid chafing . Perhaps the oem hose is NLA.... but OK, it works that way .

How about 64218391897 - looks about the right shape:

Timm, is this a pic of a 840 ? Indeed , the bend on the cabin heater seems OK , but we cannot see the length …. as far i see it's to short ?
Here you have more room.... that bend just clears the valve cover on a V12 . That's why the oem hose had a extra bend in it to point that "180°bend" upwards , away from the valve cover. The delivered hose doesn't have that : you can clearly see it in the pic :
SAM_2610.jpg
Yes, probably too short:

Been There Done That - got the tee shirt!!
The hose you want is: 64 21 1 383 305
This hose doesn't show in the E31-850 parts catalog (except in the Independent heating water valve parts list), but when I changed out my heater hoses this is the part i needed.
great M6bigdog , you win the Quizz !
i will order that tomorrow , many thanks !!!
You are very welcome.
Been doing this since the days of microfiche parts catalogs (late 1980's).
Be forewarned; the older (classic) the car gets the more problematic the catalog images and parts list get for the model.
I anticipate BMW is constantly working to reduce duplication of parts catalog images (stored data) and in that effort they also delete the look-up path for relevant and available part.
I keep my original microfiche and large format viewer as well as the early CD Parts Catalogs (requires Win-XP) for looking up the lost parts images and part numbers.
thanks again Sir !
i ordered the hose today but it has to come from Germany instead of the Belgium main dealer , so it takes 3 working days which means... between Xmas and new year…. o well , we will see . We have no hurry , but are curious
Hose just arrived ! and indeed it has that extra curve to keep it upright , away from the engine. Thanks again m6bigdog !

hehe, i had to cut a piece of it , was not to long , but the new metal pipe is longer after the bend.... i just noticed it now . Here you see the old pipe under it to demonstrate the difference....

and.. haha ! 1 bar pressure on the system and so far no leaks !!! ( wanted to be sure of the O rings before inlet manifolds…. )
