Hi, Ive noticed that there is a squeaking sound coming from the engine, I believe its the timing tensioner and the car is at 160,000 km so its due for one anyways. Does anyone have a guide on replacing the Tensioner/o ring for one of these?
Much appreciated
You sure it's not one of the accessory pulleys making that sound? Timing tensioner doesn't squeak usually.
You might also listen to your cam covers with a stethoscope or a long screwdriver. If your banjo bolts have come loose on the oil spray bars for your cams, that may be the source of the sound as well.
Ask me how I know...

Its like a whine/screeching sound, its hard to explain and theres no oil leaking either
Drain plug looks ok, Any unusual metal? Oil pump working? Ever had the valve cover off? Banjo bolts secure and cams and moving parts all getting fed oil?
only other Screeching sound i know under the hood is Drive belts and Power steering pump.
