Anyone who has a e39 540i , put your key in 1 or 2nd position and open the door does your car ping ping ping when the doors open and say key in ignition ? . My car does not go ping ping ping when I have door open or say key in ignition , is my ews not picking up my key ?

Well I did work on my car had it all apart that’s why I’m tryin to figure it out because no my car won’t start or crank , I think it may have something to do w the ews but I don’t know
