    Cool Bosch 65 Amp Alternator Rebuild

    7 of them for less than the price of 3... .......Anyone doing this and needs a New Slip Ring--I have a few to sell. New Bushings are ordered and going to be installed to boot..

    New top and bottom Bushings installed-Polyurethane

    Ordered a new solid pulley for this one to cap off the alternator rebuild, pictures later, the pulley hole diameter matches the rotor shaft diameter, had a choice of bigger/smaller pulley.

    This 65A Alternator is done and ready for service, exchanged the BMW pulley from the 80 A alternator with this one, New Paint on EF as well.

    Just came back from Alternator test,, 1st test failed 11.1V output,, took out the new Aborn Voltage Regulator and put in new Huco Voltage Regulator-Made in Germany-all signs points to good--

    The machine testing the Alternator was coded for 1980 BMW E21 320i - Alternator

    Print out on Test Results:

    Lamp/Diode Trio: Passed
    Regulator Test: Passed
    Rectifier Test: Passed

    Battery Volts- Low 13.5,Actual -14.64, High 15.4
    Ripple Volts Low -0, Actual -.33, High 1.25
    Jump On Volts Low-0,Actual 1.51, High 8.00
    Jump Off Volts- 13.00 , Actual 14.61, High -0

    This alternator has tested good and will function properly in the vehicle.

    Just retested at place where 11.1V showed up with Huco VR

    Lamp / Diode Trio Passed
    Regulator Test Passed
    Rectifier Test Passed
    Rated Amps: 65
    Alternator is Good

    Update this is now installed and running very well,all signs point to good, The 100 A alternator is out to refresh its bearings and bushes and so forth.

    Thanks, this one is running is good, Voltage is around 14.6 V, just tested it again, The rectifier plate with 9 diodes, I paid like $20.00 with free shipping.
