I am excited to see this 8 at 25k. It is a very nice example, and is bringing more than I expected. Shows what I know.

Thanks.
We are hoping for a great grand finale on the last two hours of this auction.
here in Europe , you have for that price hardly a "running" 8 … sure a manual. I think it's worth here 30k euros ,if well maintained and everything is working ! In that understanding it's a '91.... that means it's just a legal "oldtimer" and can be licensed almost without taxes… (crazy taxes if younger and no "oldtimer" ) ….
That's of course why i bought also a '91 , it stays a hobby car , not a daily .
For a younger one ( not oldtimer) you may count on 15k taxes before your first mile in it !!!!
In Germany and Holland, the E31 prices have skyrocketed. I also see a lot of rust-free cars being imported to from California to those two countries.

should go at least 30K $ for that nice maintained 850... ... i hope , fingers crossed !!!
Great car and great auction! Love seeing that kind of bids on a beatuiful six speed. Now I just gotta find one before they become unobtainable for me. My first 8 was a daily driven 6 and I’ve been trying to shift that auto knob ever since, just doesn’t feel right without it.
$30,799? I would have lost that bet. That's a great number, but of course it is a great example of an 8. I think all of the work that Alec has put into his movies, and the release of the new 8 has generated new interest into the classic 8 series. Alec you have done a great service to all the current owners of an 8, and the model itself. Outstanding.

Great job!
Now that Gary has "freed up" space in his garage we can finally get back to holding those impromptu WrenchFests.
1993 850Ci.....18 years & 165,000 miles and counting!
@72tpik5
Thanks a lot my Friend. My pleasure and my privilege to do so. Nothing but love and fun all the way. I have lots more to come. LOTS MORE.
We are very pleased with the results, but even more pleased to know that two bidders were not able to bid due to a clock glitch and the car was going to go up to $35000 plus fees which would've put the sale prices at around $38K. I got this confirmed by a phone conversation with a REAL bidder who said he did in fact put $32000 and was ready to to go up to $35, but his confirmation did not come through. He was heartbroken.
I'm meeting him this weekend to find him another car hopefully. He's a great guy.
Once again, thanks everyone for all the love and support.
Alec
