Hi guys , does a 2000 z3 model come with a cruise control ?
I have a 2000 M Roadster that has factory cruise. Not sure about Z3.

2000 BMW Z3 M Roadster (25 mpg - but who cares)
2019 Subaru Outback
(30+ MPG)
My 2000 2.3 came with cruise control.
Mine too. The cruise lever is below the wiper lever. Push forward to set or accelerate, pull back to coast, pull down to turn off.
Stubbornness is a virtue....
Maybe there are differences between US spec and EURO , South Africa specs Z3 with regards to standard equipment. What is the VIN?
Shogun tricks and tips for the E32 series are HERE!
At least in the US, it was optional on the 99-00 2.3.
Could be optional on some 2000 models as well. What is the OP looking for here? Are you looking at a specific car or just curious? The question is pretty general without any specific details.
I am importing one from Japan , it is on a ship already , I forgot to ask the agent about the cruise function

Hi I have the chassis number :WBACL32-020LG84468 , got the car from an auction in Japan , on a boat currently and I forgot to ask the agent
Mine 2.2i 2001 euro market, didn’t came with cruise control, a few months ago I retrofitted the cruise and works great, kind of an easy job.
Vin decoder doesn't list cruise specifically but shows a multifunction steering wheel so possibly you do have itIMG_1613.PNG

Been driving my car for a year and never noticed. Considering that I am a “spirited” driver it never even crossed my mind to check if it is even there
When they dropped the 4cyl at the end of the 98 year, there were a few things like fog lights and cruise that were no longer standard in order to keep the price somewhat unchanged.
Was standard on all Z3/Z3M models other than the 99-00 2.3

I had forgotten that. It appears in other CC retrofit threads, too.

I have 2001 Z3 that has cruise
while on the subject of cruise control - is there an indicator light denoting that the cruise control is active on the Z3 - I don't have one, is this normal?

Yes. The dashboard funnily enough has a cruise control light in it, but it is not activated in the Z3.
I also have a 2000 2.3 US Z with no cruise. Like others I have decided to retrofit the cruise as it seems to be a pretty easy retrofit, getting the stalk and the module. I also find it funny that there is a cruise light in the dash, but the Z3 does not utilize the light. Can it somehow be initiated via INPA? Not that big of a deal but it’s weird to have it there and not have it do anything.
