e34 with e38 Headlights

I was going down a e34 r129 hole at work, and stumbled on this while looking up Gemballa e34's:



I don't know how to feel about it. I would not trade my rounded headlights for it, but thought I'd share and get your impressions.

I personally don’t care for it, but I think it’s a very good execution with kind of a meh result... It kinda reminds me of a Maxima or something like that of the same vintage.

It makes it look like a smaller E38 or even a slightly smoother looking E36. I kind of like it but I wouldn't ever consider doing it.

The body modification is very smooth, but it's still off-putting. The hood crease doesn't blend well with the E38 headlight shape, and the kidneys are proportionally too small to the headlights, making it look like a weird E36 except more upright.

Looks like an E36 "hooked up" with an E38 and had a bastard E34.

This. I was trying to place it, but it does come across as a Japanese car ala a mid 90's accord or maxima.

Especially the V12 S600 or AMG 70s... stick nice headers on them and they scream.

I’ve driven a lot of 129’s from an sl600 to a 5 spd sl300 they aren’t too great. Next your going to tell me 107’s handle great and never rot bahah
