The roads were flooded and I drove through a deep puddle and once I did the transmission stopped shifting. Any ideas what would cause this?
Welcome to the forum.
I highly recommend that you get your car to a BMW specialist shop.
This COULD be something as simple as a wet connector,.... if you're not ready to crawl under the car and dry the trans connector (s) with compressed air, you need to get the car to a BMW shop./
Sorry, I do not know your skill level, or resources.

Thank you for your input. I have been under the car and disconnected the plug but didn't use the compressed air. I'll try that next and then if that doesn't work off to the shop it goes. Thanks again
Does the speedometer work? Do you have a check engine light, trans failsafe, or other warning?
