I recently purchased a 2008 X5 3.0 Si with 130,000 miles on it. I have recently replaced the oil pan gasket, Transmission pan gasket, Spark plugs and coil pack, master brake cylinder, a part in the HVAC system, and now the catalytic converter appears to be bad.
Have I replaced all the things expected to fail and the car will be trouble free or should a sale?
Love the car, but I can't afford to keep putting money in it.
Thanks for your advice.
Your last sentence is your answer..... “...I can’t afford to keep putting money in it.”
i would sell sell it privately and purchase something newer. However, if you want an opinion of the current condition... have a BMW shop do a complete inspection to see if it needs anything else.
