Dang only one I know of nicer than this one is mine !

I really wonder if it is all original ???
Very nice. There's no better color combo on an M6 than Zinno on Lotus. But it needs a few things IMO: clean up the underside (is the dirt hiding anything?), install some Eibach or H&R springs, mount a nice set of more period-correct BBS RS wheels (I don't particularly like RC090s on mid-80s BMWs), and install a Euro header. Done.
The '88s have always been my favorite because of their better-integrated bumpers, although there are some features of '87s I actually prefer...starting with the non-airbag, M Tech steering wheel. But these days, condition ultimately counts more than the model year.

Lovely. And top dollar. At 40k miles, if it had the 288hp engine it would have been even more expensive, or is it a Euro?

I know of a 1988 M6 just as nice, sitting in my driveway! I bought it from a guy who knew nothing about these cars and took it to the dealer for everything. Thought it was too costly, 89K miles and gave it to me for 12k 3 years ago.

Thats a steal Rob, 12k for a pristine M6. The car in the link is definately sweet, I think it just misses the higher rear headrests to be fully optioned. And whoever buys this car should take the ugly USA bumpers off.
Being picky, but it is missing the special "M" warning triangle that fits in the top of the battery box. They are out there, but try and find one. I wonder what is in the tool box?? Or for that matter, isn't??

Did I not buy one of those from you Bert? I'm sure it is somewhere in the garage.

No you didn't. The triangles that I have are the ones that are not for the "M" cars. But I do have 4-5 of those in mint condition . original with BMW pressed into the cases
