So I recently got a code to replace my crankshaft sensor so I did and the code cleared drove it for a day and now I got another check engine light and he code read crankshaft sensor seal? Is that the small o ring on the sensor? The guy at autozone said it isn’t sitting flush on the sensor. I didn’t know it could throw a code for a seal being a little loose ? Any suggestions? Also it’s a 2006 bmw 325xi (I traded in my 03 330ci for this one) any help is appreciated. Thanks
No such code, but that's what you get for asking Autozoo to read your codes.
OBD codes are useless at best, and plain wrong, most of the time. You need to get yourself a device which reads BMW specific codes.....and stay away from Autozoo and their kin.
Did you buy that crank sensor at Autozoo, too? Because they sell Chinese crap. Buy a real sensor at FCP Euro, or another quality BMW specialist supplier.
