Hi guys
I own a 2001 E65 745i, and last year I changed the light module to LM2 and coded welcome light and DRL (halogen high beam).
It have all been working just fine (coded changes many times using NCS Expert).
I never got around updating the Vehicle Order in the new LMA, so it had just been using the VO from the donor car from where I get the LM2 module.
Then this weekend I changed my rearview mirror to one with FLA. To enable the FLA I had to add it to the VO, and while doing that I decided to update the VO in the LMA module at the same time. So I took the original VO from my CAS module, added $5AC (for the FLA), and wrote the new VO to both CAS and LMA.
After that I coded the LM2 module enabling smart_beam. But now I've lost my DRL and Welcome Light. No matter how many time I try to code the LM2 module to enable DRL and Welcome Light, it just ignores the values in my MAN file.
So I'm pretty sure it has to do with something missing in my VO after overwriting the LMA VO.
I've added $524 and $896 to my VO, but it didn't change anything.
This is my current VO list:
E65_#0701&U6FA%0475|7520082|7520135*GL61$202$216$2 29$235$245 $261$268$302$316$319$323$358$403$415$416$423$428$4 30$431$438$441$442$455$456$464$470$488$494$496$502 $508$521$522$524$534$548$5AC$609$612$620$630$650$6 72$677$785$801$851$863$879$896$909$999-LEDE+B090+K536
Any advice appreciated.
After several days trying all sorts of debugging I finally solved the problem. It seems like NCS Expert got confused about my early production date (july 2001) and the LM2 module.
After changing my production date from #0701 to #0605 and changing my modelcode from *GL61 to *HM22 and writing the VO/FA to the LMA module, I could finally code my LM2 module again.
