    FS in Norcal: '00 e39 m5 carbon black / black w/132k miles

Buying a new car, and it is sadly time to sell my carbon black w/black interior e39 m5 (6 speed).

    - The car is in great mechanical condition with two minor issues -- 1) Auto folding mirror function on the driver's side mirror doesn't work, it folds fine but unfolding requires a nudge from you as the motor gear drive slips. 2) The LCD seal in the rear view mirror is leaking. Picture attached. Other than that it is in great mechanical shape.

    - The engine was replaced by the original owner @ 45k miles to address the carbon buildup issue on this gen of m5, and I have babied it since I bought it at ~55k miles (currently @ ~133k).

    - The car was in a very minor (~5mph, no frame damage) accident that scuffed the rear valence. I had it inspected to ensure there were no major issues, and had the valence replaced @ Edge Motorworks in Mountain View.

    - I have a PDF of the service record from 2013-now from Edge Motorworks in Mountain View that I can email if interested, no expenses spared. Suspension was also replaced recently. Feel free to call them to ask about the condition of the car as well. Prior work (~2010-2013) was done @ BTM Motorworks in Campbell.

    - I'd classify the exterior / paint as in "great" condition (~8/10). There are a couple scratches on the exterior (I took pictures to try to show them). Also tried to point out obvious paint issues (there is a scratch on the front valence, and a small dimple above my finger in one of the pictures though it is hard to see in the shot. It's noticeable when you polish up the car. I didn't do a full polish but I am confident you can still zaino / polish it and get it to a mirror again.

    - I'd classify the interior as "good" shape. it has some wear spots. I boosted brightness / saturation on the photos of the interior so you could see where the leather is worn, but it doesn't look as obvious in person. None of it is thin and could be repaired if you want.

Please PM me and I can email you the full service history! Apologies for the lighting on the pictures, waiting for a nice sunny day to update them. Car looks great in person. Looking for a new home!

I'll never understand this. Would you buy a car with this little info? Why make a prospective buyer go through the hassle of PMing you? Just post all the info you can here with pictures, etc. That greatly enhances your likelihood of selling.
