2001 330xi p1353 replaced almost everything related to this code.

So far replaced all spark plugs and cylinder 6 coil. Replaced camshaft position sensor, new battery. Just replaced completely destroyed disa valve. What's next buy carly and check those codes? The only two other things I can think of are 1. Fuel filter or 2. Injector. Thanks.

Do a compression test. Its possible that part of the "completely destroyed disa" got into cylinder 6 and caused damage. You can also swap injector from cylinder 6 to another cylinder and see if the misfire moves with the injector.

Also, if I clear the codes. the car will start and idle fine, until you start to drive, then as soon as the ses pops up its running horribly. Don't know if that helps any.

Is it always only cylinder 6? Are there any other codes you get? When the dme detects enough misfiring on a cylinder, it turns off the injector on that cylinder to save the catalytic converters. When you shut off the engine and restart it, the dme fires all cylinders again. Does the code set at idle or under heavy load?

When I reset code it mostly idles fine. Then when you drive it drives fine for like 30 seconds. Then no power, ses light, erratic idle, dies when stopped. Clear code and repeat.

Yes always cylinder 6. Which is the one furthest back, correct?

What was wrong with the disa that you said was "completely destroyed" ? Did it come apart?

Not good. The pin probably found it's way into cylinder 6. You will need to do a compression test. Unfortunately you may have major damage to that cylinder. When you replaced the spark plugs, was number 6 damaged?

Pretty sure it looked fine. And the car runs on six for sure, until the code pops.

Maybe I am wrong about this. I hope so for you sake. BUT you have a metal pin floating around inside the engine/intake somewhere. There is a possibility that it got into a cylinder and number 6 is the most likely because the engine is angled down slightly at the back. A compression test is easy and will tell if cylinder 6 is hurt. If you don't have a compression tester, most parts stores have loaner tools available. If compression is even on all cylinders you MUST find that pin even if you have to remove the intake manifold before this does happen. It's a ticking time bomb. You could try to remove the throttle body and fish around with a magnet. You would definitely not be the first one to have an engine destroyed by the pin that came out of the disa. Do a compression test asap.

You might want to use a borescope to look inside cylinder 6. If the pin is in there it’ll likely remain in there until it’s removed.

If the pin is/was in there you could probably see damage to the top of the piston by simply looking into the spark plug hole with a flashlight.
