I think mine is clear (not original). But after reading the other thread, sounds like it is hard to tell the tinted from the clear.

How sensitive your eyes are or how well they gather light could make a difference. If you’re bothered by bright lights, the tint may be more comfortable for your eyes. If you require lots of light for reading and surroundings, the clear may be a better choice.

The OEM window has a very slight green tint.

Whether tinted or clear, your eyes can't tell the difference on the car.
All those Z3 owners with original tops and windows, may not have noticed a "tint".
Now I do have lightly tinted windows on my Forester, and my eyes can tell that difference.

The faint rear tint may be just enough to kill any following headlight glare.

That minimal green tint may also be intended to make the car look better. By contrast, clear could make the top look cheap and was addressed in the initial design.

Once installed, I don't think the difference between clear and tinted can be perceived.
