Anyone else going through stock halogen headlight bulbs continually. Never seen anything like it. Probably cant go 3 months without changing one or the other headlight bulb.
The housing has no leaks, nothing unusual. I am hoping to hear from someone who has seen this and knows why this keeps happening.
When I say every 3 months, I mean every 3 months for the last 4 years that we have owned it.
Not really a big deal, other than now, I am looking to fix it.
Thanks,

I would start by verifying the condition of the plug connector and immediate area of the wiring. Check them for high resistance (to +12V & to chassis ground); high resistance = high heat. Also look to see if there's any signs of burning/melting in the bulb-holder (if applicable).
Beyond that, I don't have any suggestions. My wife's 2011 X5 first burned out a LH hdlt, then a short time later, the RH bulb went out, but it was already 6-7 yrs old & > 100k miles by then, so not alarming (operating w/daytime running lts since new).
What type of headlights do you have? Halogen? Xenon (HID)? Adaptive Bi-xenon?
