Damn, I just picked up my final(?) piece in my collection, a 2000 740i sport in Oxford Green, 86k miles. Owned by the cofounder of the SoCal7's. Just arrived yesterday from the LA area too! Problem is that the car came with chromed M pars (very popular as done by the dealers in the late 90s early 2000s)

The 8" spare is close to mint with original finish and tire, and I have another minty 8"wheel on the shelf. I'm really wanting to get a complete set with tires that's in excellent condition (i.e. original finish, minimal curb rash, little to no clear coat issues).

If Roger passes these up, and they are in the condition I described, please let me know, cuz the chrome's gotsta go!

    Hi,

All Chrome wheel finish is US thing and not desired
for European cars specially the one after 85' before
that when cars had more chrome pieces then its fine,
and still then a questionable. Mercedes, BBS did
machine finish which is not as shiny chrome thing.

    PM sent.

    Thanks

Thanks Anri, I agree chrome wheels are just not appropriate for these newer models. Not to mention that the finish on the original M-pars is quite unique, with a thick clear coat on machined areas having a different appearance than the areas left as cast metal, plus the smooth lip area. They are pieces of art in their own right.

I will keep an eye out for your pm, hasn't come through yet.
    Joe

    Nope!

These wheels are nice, but I'm looking for original finish, so I will be passing. But the tires alone had to be more than a grand... good deal for somebody that isn't as picky as I am! Thanks anyway Anri-

I’ve actually been looking for a cheap e38 with nice m parallel’s just for the wheels. I see them all the time for $2k and under, I’ll just swap out the wheels and flip or give away the car as I’m running out of space.

I have a cheap e38, 2000 Sport that I picked up from Joe just a year or so ago. Staggered Mpars, needs some tires. The wheels have some rash. The car itself is in decent shape except the TCGs went and I'm not going to replace them.

Thanks but shipping wise it would probably blow my budget.
