BMW M70 V12 Engine and transmission from a 1991 750iL. I started rebuilding it for a project, and the project never materialized, now I just want to clear space in the garage. I have replaced all the piston rings and internal gaskets, rebuilt the throttle bodies and injectors, and the engine is back together. Also re-ground the valves.
I stripped off all rust, sanded all mating surfaces and painted everything. Engine is more complete than the photos show. I also replaced the transmission filter and gasket. I did the same rebuild/refresh to my Daily-Driver 750iL's engine a couple years ago and it's still going strong.
The only known issue is that the valley coolant-cover broke when I was disassembling the engine and that one part is very expensive, so I made one out of a block of aluminum. The hole I made at the top for the connection to the coolant-pipe above it is a fraction of a millimeter too big so you might need a different O-ring than stock. Other than that potential issue with the cooling system connection, the engine is solid.
Does contain both sets of plug wires.
I pulled the following from the donor car:
-Engine and Transmission
-DMEs EML and Transmission Modules
-Engine Wiring Harness, relays, etc
-Starter, Torque Converter
-Misc hoses, bolts, etc
-MAF Sensors
-Engine Mechanical fan
Asking $600 OBO. I put a LOT more into it than that. Located in Tigard OR 97224. I may be interested in some kind of full or partial trade (in either direction) as well.
