I have been trying for 1 month to get this software working to no avail. IFH-0018 fixed. = STD: OMITEC IFH-0016 IFH-0008 both finally fixed
I had many more issues after this and kept coming back with many IFH issues. Now I have most issues gone I just cannot get passed this IFH-0004.
Can anyone please advise.
thank you
Don't use OMITEC unless you actually have an omitec interface (uber rare).
What are you using to connect to car? And which car exactly?

then why the hell does the IFH0018 kick in as a problem. If i dont change it to OMITEC then I cannot proced anyfurher... where is the program failing please. ca connection is via a black round connection under the bonnet. via over USB... The drivers are installed just fine. Windows XP. 32bit system. SP3 Dotnet fix 3.5... no firewall no antivirus. COM1 in device manage. Band new install of XP and drivers upto date. No peripherals of bluetooth wifi audio. those are all turned off to avoid conflicts and the car itself i a BMW 525TDS 1997. This problem exists in windows 7 also. same software same install but 64bit machine. exactly same issues. I believe the software is to blame for this and its always mikes standard tools that does this.

if anyone is using the same based connection as i have descibed. please please can they upload a full copy of their driectory of C:/Edibas C;/EC-app and so on, into a Zip folder. This way i can download it and just copy and paste over my installed files and this would save all the bleeding headaches. it would replace all the bad data and replace it with the correct data. thne its all down to registery values.... please can someone does this.
... What kind of cable are you using?
INPA K+DCAN with 20-pin adapter?
You probably should be on STD:OBD if yes.
It's simple, but you are complicating it beyond comprehension.

yes that is what i have. 20 pin round adapter. I was advised to do it this way from a guide from a BMW website. this was ment to remove the IFH0018 problem. it did but you say i need obd. well i changed it back and now i cannot go any further than this code IFJ0018. what the hell is bloody wrong with this INPA. This i not my fault but what the problems IT throws at me. I install the software under STD:OBD and i constantly get IFH0018.
where the hell is the install failing... Thir is a line code somwhere asking for OMITEC when it should OBD. this much is very clear but have bleeding clue where it will be. The software I have must be geared and setup for OMITEC only and not for K-line D-can whatever it is i have. 20 pin rounds adapter. This where i go the software from. http://www.bmwcoding.online/software...n-xGtt8bv9CSpE In their install files has a guide for trouble shooting. this is where i got the omitec solution from. So if anyone wants to say i have done something wrong. These are the people to blame, not me.
When you changed Ediabas.ini file to STD: OBD did you run OBD.exe?
