Hey guys,
The e32 I recently purchased is asking for a radio code and its not in the car. I pulled radio and checked for serial number but stickers so worn its not possible to read. So am I SOL, or is there another way to either get the serial number displayed like newer models? Or anything ?
Thanks!!

I know there's a button function to get the serial number, among other things. I found this for lack of finding the radio function sheet I have stored somewhere, stored so well I can't find it.
Pick the radio, push the right buttons and the serial number will appear.

Hey guys apparently I do have serial number! First dealer was incompetent! I have the code now!!
Now my code isn’t doing anything . I left radio on for an hour and i put it in and it still says code and nothing changes. Could I be doing something wrong?
Hi,
I'd say either get another unit that has the code with it and is known to be working and use that or, use a modern head unit. You could spend a substantial amount and give the current unit to a good electronics specialist to see if they can bypass the code requirement but chances are still low of that happening.
Cheers, Dennis!
