Couldn’t find it in google and figured maybe someone else would like to know as well. Where is the ideal location for bank 1 o2 sensor and wide band bung in the downpipe.
I’m conflicted with a lot of builds that seem to be 12” or less from turbo but AEM instructions say no closer than 36”. As for o2 for bank one I couldn’t find any reference. Assumption is similar distance for longevity. If that’s the case should they be opposite sides or separated?

OP, great question. I’m curious to know too. I’m just about to drill my downpipe and weld the bungs.
Currently I have them both laid out about 18” from the turbine housing close to the firewall.
The wideband is at about 2 o’clock and the Bank one sensor at about 10. They’re staggered by a few inches.

18" works orientation shouldn't matter as much - staggering them wouldn't hurt.
Main thing is distance, which you have figured out and also making sure the sensors are on the top part of the pipes. This way if blow by occurs (oil in exhaust, coolant, or whatever) doesn't contaminate the sensors as easily if fluid where to run down the exhaust
I’ve got the o2 sensor about 10” from the turbo. (Can’t remember why i put it there though) The afr is mounted near the transmission mounts. This is with an spa manifold.

Ive got my AEM sensor about 36" from the turbo.
I doubt its that crucial.. However, following the manufacturers instructions is always the best bet. If AEM says 36" … Put it 36" away.
I stand corrected: the SCG-1 installation manual says to mount the WB at least 24” after the turbo. Good thing I haven’t drilled any holes yet-rtfm, right ?
