Hey Guys, have a set of 16" snow tires and thinking about the idea of a cheap set of 16" as I've had to drive the M3 a few times this winter already (due to bad logistics and my truck getting left away from home).
Either way, I know 16's have a mostly 'no-go' from what I remember on clearing to front brakes.
Anyone have a decent list of 'work' vs. 'don't work' wheels? Or is this just a test fit and see deal? (obviously will be doing that if I go get some).
...one set in question:
There are no BMW factory 16” wheels that will fit over the calipers of an E36 M3, and the list of 16” aftermarket wheels that fit is on a ‘try them’ basis.

I have a set of 16" Mille Miglia's that fit on my 1997 M3 that I could sell you. Interested?
Thanks guys, did a ton of research and found 'test fit required' is about the best answer.
...in the mean while, found a set of c4 16" salad shooters for $50 that I'll probably pickup in stead for these...assuming they clear the calipers :/
16x8 basket weaves due in fact clear the M calipers

I kind of like it. Are those Corvette wheels?
Yep, '88 standard/base wheels - 16x8.5 on all 4.
Wow, i'm digging both the basket weaves and the vette wheels.
