E46 airco swap to manual - track car

Maybe a bit of an odd question, but I have an E46 compact for track use. I took out all the controls and installed a simple fan connector. However, without ventilation direction and temp control, this is not very convenient. I can of course place back the climate unit, but on the track this is not very easy to use (small buttons and gloves). Does anyone know if there is an option to install and old fashioned manual aircon unit (with the three big knobs) and make that work?

E46s came with either an automatic climate control (IHKA) or a manual climate control module (IHKM?). Go to www.realoem.com an “build” an E46 with the IHKM. Make the car a European delivery car. Get the part # for the IHKM and then google it to see if it’ll meet you needs. Then go to www.newtis.info to see if the wiring harness are the same for both climate control modules. If they are you can install an IHKM.
