I am in the Houston Texas area and need some help. I have completely overhauled my 96 328i and have bought a Dell XP 32 bit computer and have the V6.5 interface cable and all the software including INPA, TIS, etc. I can't seem to get it right with the install of the software. Is there anybody in the Houston area that knows how to install the software that can help me out? I'd really appreciate it as my check engine light is on and need to get that dang thing to turn off. Let me know if you can help. Thanks in advance.
Come on fellow Bimmer Dudes,
I know there is someone in Houston that knows how to install INPA/Ediabas onto my Dell XP 32 bit computer. I really need the help. I have tried many times to install and just can't get it to work. I have a CEL on and need it gone. I hope there is a Bimmer Dude that will take pity and help me out. Let me know, I am near Clear Lake.
Try this pack with the instructions included. If you follow them step by step, it won't fail. Everything you need is in post 1.
Skip the part about environment variables, and Windows XP compatibility (since you're already in XP)

Wait. Don't use carsoft v6.5 with it. That was 15 years ago when there were no other choices.
Use INPA K+DCAN or other USB cable with 20-pin adapter.
