where I could find a lift kit for a BMW 635CSI?

I’ve been looking around for a lift kit that’s for a BMW 635CSI but I can’t seem to find anything like that anywhere. Wondering if someone might know where I could find a lift kit for my BMW.

Can you describe what you're trying to achieve at the end? (i.e. how much lift, etc.)

You won't find it. No one builds off road cars from a 635. Go to your friendly off road center and find out who builds off road cars in your area and they will build you a custom set up as that is what you will need. Welcome to the world of huge bucks.

And what good is a car with RWD and massive overhang in the front and back in offroad situations? Also, the weight distribution is not too good for traction on wet surfaces.

Are you making an off-road rally type car? If so, then maybe you could use full sized Bilsteins, all re-valved for increased damping. You could run the rear shocks on the highest spring perch setting, and modify if needed to extra height. For the front, you could fabricate some spacers to fit between the strut top bearings and the body. You would also need to press out the short bolts on the bearing, and use longer ones, although stock bearings might not survive off-road abuse. You might need to go with something custom there as well.

Don't forget that if you lift the car you might need to do something about the brake lines, and the sway bar mount length, as well as reinforce the snot out of all your welds ALL OVER. Rally is BRUTAL on a car.

I imagine this is all for jollies. If you are seriously thinking of building a competitive rally car, you need WAY more discussion and input than us directing you to a "lift kit" supplier.

Thanks for the help man. I got this idea after watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rb3du9cbLHk. I think I've got enough money right now to buy all that stuff.

No I don’t feel like selling my car. I know it can be done with the 635. I’m just seeing where I can find the parts to make it happen.

Of course it can be done, if you want to get lazy go to a machine shop and have a set of spring spacers made up. Or try fitting e32 springs. But depending on what your actually using the car for ,other than having a “who’s got a bigger dick contest?” Your not going to find shocks with enough upward travel to do anything useful with the car.

Please just sell your car. The E24 isn't a Rally platform.

Nvm. I think I’ll just keep it stock. It looks like it’s too hard to attempt.

You are absolutely correct in that it is a TON of work to rally prep a car. The car in the video probably had custom coilovers, welded seams, reinforcing gussets everywhere, full roll cage, fire suppression system, intercoms, not to mention all the engine and fueling mods required to meet safety standards.
