Instrument cluster intermittently powers down while driving. Does not recover after a good whack but can cause failure by doing the same. Did some reading and found defective capacitors might be a cause so removed the cluster and extracted the PCB board. This is a delicate/expensive component so I don't want to mess it up. PCB looks good with no sign of failure. Conformal coating looks in good shape.
There are 4 (Frako) caps - see pics. 1000uF is glued down.
Is it recommended to replacing these? What are other failure mechanisms?
Markings on these vintage radial caps indicates 2x 22uF/40V, 1x 220uF/15V, and 1000uF/15V. Necessary to replace all? No information about lead spacing, ESR, etc. Purchasing from Digikey is a shot-in-the-dark.
All feedback appreciated - thanks all

I once had a cluster when the pins which connect to the plugs in the rear needed re-soldering, see pics here

Shogun tricks and tips for the E32 series are HERE!
Ordered replacement capacitors from Digikey. Removing the old caps was easy enough with solder wick. Hopefully this does it.
Thanks shogun.
