Hi all,
Unfortunately my prolonged unemployment has forced me to put my family's financial needs ahead of my hobby's needs. Thus I am offering up my very nice E21 driver for sale. I've written a pretty extensive Craigslist ad for the car.

The car is located in Mooresville, NC which is about 30 minutes north of Charlotte.
I've attached a few pics (there are more in the CL ad).

Hi,
I am sorry for the circumstances which led to you having to list this car. In my view this is a nice example of an almost rust-free E21, which is hard to come by. I like the suspension upgrades you did to the car--it sits nicely on the new suspension and wheels. GLWTS.

Beam thanks for your kind words. It is a great little car that the new owner should enjoy driving while watching its value increase over time (that was my plan).
Hi Pete. Sorry you have to sell. What seat covers are those? They almost look reupholstered. Headrests too? Good luck with the sale.
Yes the seat covers are not original. The original owner left the car stored outdoors in South Carolina while overseas in Germany for a few years (I know...why?). The sun took it's toll on the original fabric, so he had them recovered. Kind of a cool, age appropriate pattern for sure though.

Crappy circumstance. Good luck with sale!
Your car is gorgeous, and it sucks you have to sell. Hopefully someone will buy it and love it as much as you have. Cheers.

Bump. Contemplated putting on Bring A Trailer but did not feel comfortable with their desire for a no reserve auction. I removed the basket weave Momo wheels and reinstalled the factory alloys, and reduced the price a bit. New pics of exterior with factory wheels in the posting.

These are tough to sell. I had my 1983 with 67k miles for sale for several months at $4500, but ended up taking $3500 as I couldn't keep it much longer.
Lovely car, priced very fairly.
Hi everyone. Ended up selling the E21 to a very nice guy from Asheville. To help with values I sold it for $4200, which I feel represents are very good deal for the buyer and a fair deal for me the seller. It went to a good home!
