I don't have a single negative comment about it. I've loaded it into my explorer and taken it down to Florida. The lifts are a solid 80 lbs...instructions are clear. I've used it countless times for the past year in both height settings. My only gripe is not figuring out a way to convince my wife to let me get it sooner....I got the 5000ext, wish I went with the 7000.

Ugh I need a quickjack so badly in my life. Apart from having the flexibility to lift heavier cars, any other reason to get the 5000SLX over the 3500SLX?
No....the only difference between the 3500/5000/7000 are their recommended max weight loads. Also, look for the "ext" is the one you want. I'm not sure if there is a difference anymore, but I thought the ext was extended to cover more of the area where jack points were....I wouldn't do the 3500 unless you have a track car and that is what you use it for. 5000 minimum and 7000 if you have SUVs. I put my 2017 Explorer on to rotate wheels and it did fine, and apparently the quickjack won't just collapse if you exceed the value, but I'm not sure I'm willing to risk it

I would save and buy the SLX model. Costco has the 5000SLX (that's what I have) on sale right now for $1,099 shipped. You can always buy the extension if you need a longer base, it just sits on top of the existing one. I find the 5000SLX to be the perfect size for my cars.
Another reason to get the 5000SLX is that if you get it through costco it's the same price or cheaper than the 3500 elsewhere.
As for their strength:

Thanks for the info guys. I just saw those videos the other day. Great to know about Costco too!
That's pretty impressive. Basically the QuickJack will safely support any weight that its stock hydraulic power pack can raise — and then some.
My concern about the QuickJack is that it thoroughly blocks user access along both sides of the car between the lift points, which means pretty much all the way between the wheel arches. This leaves only a slender tunnel under the center of the car. While it's kind of a pain to get the car up on 4 jack stands — better if you have multiple jacks! — once you're there access is pretty good from any direction.

Well didn’t this get off topic.
No matter where you go, there you are...
Really? A quickjack is cool? Well, if you can’t get a real lift is guess...lol
No matter where you go, there you are...
Not just a taller garage, but thicker concrete pad. And, I was able to load these in the explorer and take it to FL to work on my Dads e36....cant do that with your "real" lift. Also, your entire underside is not blocked. There is nothing to work on that would be blocked. The fuel filter is fully accessible. I can swap side skirts. Now, my only silly gripe would be you have only two entry points to get under, front or rear. I did not know you could use it perpendicular....I guess it makes sense

$1100 shipped through Costco is a DEAL. I would advise anyone who is even slightly considering it to jump on it. As people posted early, other than the entry point to the car, it really doesn't block access to anything.
On sale @ costco for $999.99 thru 12/11. Might be ordering these!

Wow, now would be the time to get it if you're thinking about it. Pretty sure you won't find it cheaper (new) anywhere else.

Yes, I have a MaxJax since 7 years, love it, easy to install and roll away when not needed by one person, fits into standard garage height.
Just came back from COSTCO Japan, they also have the quickjack on stock here, price is a bit higher than in the US, but still reasonable.
Comparing both, I personally - considering my age- would go for the MaxJax, a bit more comfortable, I can sit on a rolling work chair under the car, good for old man shogun.
