Picked up a clean 99 E36 M3 convertible today to start playing with. Previous owner was (according to wholesaler) a master tech employed at the local dealership. Car is in good shape, well-optioned and was a pretty good deal.
It’s lowered slightly on coilovers, has a UUC exhaust, cold air intake, ASC delete, SAP delete and S50 manifold.
The wiring for the injectors has some piggyback module, relay and connection that I’m unfamiliar with. Do any of you guys have any idea what this setup is for?
TIA,
Ryan

Looks like secondary air pump simulator. Keeps the check engine light from coming on due to no secondary air pump.
It's the SAP delete, noted by the gaping hole in where it should be in pic 2!

The SIM is sold by forum member gpeterson. Have one myself.
