    1988 325i SI board batteries

I have the NiCad batteries for the SI board. Is there any danger in running 1000mAh instead of the 600-700mAh? The batteries will be relocated somewhere (maybe in the glove box)

Nope. Should not be an issue. That number is a measure of the storage capacity. Just be sure your board isn't set up with the lithium cells.

    an addendum:

for the NiCad batteries, the 2 prongs are the + and the 1 prong - ? the current batteries and the board are not labeled and i am unsure which is which
