To my Fellow 8 series owners!
All around the world I see many of our E31 cars displayed next to the new 8s at the dealerships and various car shows. Very proud and happy to see this. In March 2017 when we started the E31/G15 combo campaigns, I had a feeling this would happen but wasn't predicting it to be this vast. GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!!!!!

My pleasure!!! Looking forward to a lot more.
I tried to get our local dealer to display a G15 at my recent BMWCCA backyard concourse event (which I hold twice a year at my house). This fall concourse was a tribute to the E31. Obviously, the dealer didn't have a G15 to display yet, unfortunately. But we did have a large screen plasma TV with a G15/E31 slide show playing.

Nice gathering! Who owns the silver "8"? Can you tell us about the hood?

That's bdiefAZ's car, very nice 8.
It is my car, the hood is a modified factory steel hood. The louvers are very effective in extracting heat from the engine.

Yes - that is pretty neat. The guys in the E31Club Italy shared that with me last week.

Really. I can see how someone might install them backwards, not understanding how they are intended to work. But what I really don’t understand is how somebody can have the front wheels going one way and the back wheels going the other. How can you not notice the wheels on the same side of the car look different front and back?

The video is good, but I just found myself shouting at the owner to swap his wheels. Exactly, how can you not see when they are on the same side? I know it's trivial, but my pet hate. Hope these folks with reverse stars pay more attention when installing brake pads etc.
I once had to make my tire guys remount everything because both the tires and rims where directional and put the rims on backwards (style 9).
My Cars - 1991 BMW 850i - mine for fun, 1993 Saab 900c - mine for fun, 2008 Lexus is250 - my daily driver, 2003 Dodge Durango - my wife's, 1994 Acura Legend - gave it to kid
Given the luke warm reception to the overture of loaning my 8 for a joint 8 series unveiling, I was pleasantly surprised at the audience the e31 held once she stepped foot in the showroom.
Sales people crowded around and there was much appreciation for this rare ride.

These are the stories I hear nowadays and want it hear more about. Good work! I was just telling one of our own, how the crowd gathers around E31s at car shows like never before. The love and appreciation has increased while the fear of these cars being money pits has decreased. Step by steps my friends. We’re getting there.
nrp22101, great showing. Your "8" looks fantastic!
