Picked this up yesterday. 223k miles, PO said he took it to the mechanic and it was diagnosed as bad piston rings. Crank but won't fire. New CKP, CPS, fuel pump and injectors apparently but no receipts.

Driver's window regulator works perfectly. Front pass is broken. Both rears work, but keep spinning once they reach the bottom - will still go up though.

Cool older period radio with Aux and CD changer.

Door panels and lower door trims and not for sale.

Damage to front passenger side fender and door, but the other doors like nice a rust free - CA car.

Faded paint on hood and trunk but so far they look to be in good shape - no obvious deep scratches or dents but they are both still very dirty.

Nice interior. Seat functions all work except for headrests which are an easy fix. Can fix that if it is a deal breaker for somebody interested in the seats. No twist or rips.

I've never seen rings bad enough to prevent starting. If compression is zilch and valves are ruled out I'd strongly suspect the cylinders have been fuel washed.
A tablespoon or so of oil poured into each cylinder might get this to fire up.
If you were closer I'd keep my mouth shut and buy the whole thing from you.

I thought the diagnosis was bad, also. He said after months of trying to get it to go himself he took it to a professional mechanic and that was what he said. He did not know if he had done a leakdown or what, but the car should still start on 5/6 cylinders and maybe even 4/6. I will take your advice and give it a shot since that is easy enough.

Everything lights up like it is supposed to. Gas gauge works. Don't know about RPM or speedometer, but as they very rarely fail I would be comfortable saying they are good. Money back if not, of course. $50 sound good? What part of CA are you in?

Sorry, the lower door trims/M-Tech door trims are going to a local friend who needs his replaced.

I would be able to sell the side impact trim though - I'll give it a look over but all but the front pass door and front pass fender should be in good shape and without the internal rust since it is a California car.

Heyo, I hit a box on the highway and it tore off the bottom left quarter of my bumper. I have a new bumper but i need the left fog light assembly and ambient temperature sensor with the wire harness ends of both since mine had their ends torn off. I also need the driver window motor and the rear deck/shelf that holds the interior brake and rear speakers. What would you ask for those parts?
