4.10:1 it already!
A guy that I know does product photography for a company called NOCO that makes battery chargers and jumper packs. He has used my cars and some of our farm equipment a couple of times now for NOCO advertising. He was here a few days ago getting another round of photos, and took several of the E23's parked in our Hazelnut orchard. I think the photos turned out spectacularly, and the evening sunlight was perfect coming through the trees.

I use NOCO for jumping cars, its worked great when my kids left my lights on my LX470 all day once HAHA. And someones car had died in front my house before and I provided them a jump.

What is a NOCO?
Thanks man!
Good to know, they are supposed to send me one of their jumpers in trade for using my cars for photos but it hasn't showed up yet haha. Also, its awesome that you are caretaking both an E23 and an LX470!

What an amazing thread, and even cooler build. Any update on the black 733i?
Summer/Fall 2021 UpdateI sold the black 733i to my brother back in July, he had been lusting after it since I first brought it home and finally got serious about making me an offer. It's been great to have it in the family still. He has been tinkering on it a bit, got the HVAC working fairly well after replacing one of the microswitches in the dash, and he swapped in a euro E30 clock for the OBC. Also, he ordered a set of 17x8 Maxilite Alpina style wheels from Peican Parts, and they sure fit the car well. The wheels work perfectly with the Dinan suspension. We have been having a good time cruising both cars this summer.
As far as the Bahama car goes, I just did a little maintenance this summer and have been enjoying driving it. Changed the fluids and belts, and got a fresh set of tires.

What is this E30 garbage in your flagship?
Use W126 pods for face and defrost. Single tit easy to rebuild with George Murphy kits. I always just blo k off the dual tit cowl pod and wire it shut.
Yes. Better, still not perfect but I will admit far cooler than OBC. 10:1 rocks the Zulu time digital clock from factory!
Any photos of the euro clock swap? I am looking to get rid of the nonfunctional OBC in my 84

The digital unit drops right into place. Hell, the connector is back there already too. In the bundle with the cigar lighter harness.
Bumping this thread from the depths to motivate Steve to pull his head out of his current cave of Lexus projects and fix his leaky radiator.
I am the current owner of the black 733i, and while the car has sat in storage A LOT it is currently being used as my daily driver and has proven to more reliable than my 2018 F-150.
Only big update on the car is the addition of a fully aluminum eBay radiator with larger capacity after the stock one developed a leak in the plastic end tank and I could not find a suitable replacement. This did not leave enough room to keep the stock red engine fan, so I deleted it and the shroud and am currently running no fan at all. This is working very well for me, but I don't commute in heavy traffic so it isn't too big of a concern. I'll eventually get an electric pusher fan with bracket that Eric Dye is selling via Satisfied Incorporated and I should be all set for sitting in any kind of traffic. Besides needing to have custom adaptors made by a specialty hose/hydraulic shop in Eugene to run the automatic tranny cooling lines, I am very pleased with the eBay radiator for anybody's future reference.
I also dropped the fog lights, they were non functional and the wiring to them was too janky for me to want to mess with at this time. I also plan to eventually euro bumper swap, though E23 parts seems to be currently experiencing a renaissance in pricing and I am not eager to run out and pay current prices.
I've also been continuing the maintenance with new window guides and window weather stripping all around, replacing lighting in the dash/radio, etc. Otherwise, I've been driving around town and to CCA events in Portland/Eugene.
I'll post a few quick phone pictures I have taken over the past few years of ownership, but will keep any further updates out of this thread so as not to distract from Steve's beige beauty.
New vs old radiator
Tried yellow film on the highs, but ultimately didn't like the look and removed it. Also tried "shadowline" trim, probably won't stay and easily removed back to chrome.
