Well, the stock size 125/90/15 tire seems to be extinct. You can go without spare, put on your 17 year old donut and cross your fingers, or buy another (old) one off eBay and THEN cross yoru fingers.
BMW part # 36116750006 is for a 16" rim and with the Kumho spare tire in size 125/80/16, that lands the dimensions about as close to identical as possible.
After inspecting my donut. I'm not going to put it back in!
I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on this setup. Is anyone running it?

Hmm, sounds like a great alternative. ~$90/tire and ~45/wheel plus install.
A 15" (or 16") wouldn't fit over my front Coupe brakes, so if I ever got a flat in front, I'd have to put a rear wheel on the front and the donut on the rear. But, not sure how I'd accomplish that as I don't carry jack stands in the hatch. Or, is the offset such that the brakes don't run inside the rim?
Thankfully my AAA membership is up to date.

See .... that's why I'm back and forth on it. I have AAA also, and don't really plan on taking this car further from the house than can be towed.
That being said ... there is that space underneath where you CAN indeed put a donut, so why not have one.....

Wouldn't the Kumho T125/80D15 work on your original rim? It is smaller in diameter at 22.9in but it is a spare for short term use. I have a M so no spare tire problem, all AAA.

Difference between 80 and 90: https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc...0r15-125-90r15
On the newer cars they make an alloy 5 spoke 17", 4" wide ET5 for 135/80R17 tires. I wonder if it would fit?

The spare is already smaller than the full size wheel. I just don't feel very good about putting an even smaller tire on there - especially if it's the rear!
I put air in my donut and disconnected that "check pressure here" hose which just doesn't seem like it would help the matter.
At 18 years old - I'm not sure how much faith I have in it though.
That alloy spare looks cool, but does not appear easy to get a hold of and I wonder if it costs an arm and a leg.

So did you try it? My 15 in spare is questionable and considering the 16 in with Kumho tire myself.

I haven't done it yet, although I still intend to.
My Z had a "dubious" stereo install done by a PO and in a moment of weakness I had ordered a giant box of stuff from Crutchfield, so I am forcing myself to finish this before I tackle other areas.

Anyone try the 16inch upgrade? Curious if its going to fit in the 15inch carrier.

I just roll with fix a flat. Its never not worked for me. Unless you really destroy your whole sidewall it will work in most cases. No point in trying to find a wheel that would work when I can buy a 10$ can, and its not like my car has TPMS sensors to ruin so the tire can be plugged if possible
