Before you downgrade the brakes,,, take a look around at what other rotor rings may work with the bolt circle on your hats (Coleman, Wilwood, etc, etc).
The big brake kit in itself will save you money in the long run once the initial buy in is paid for (which yours came with the car).
The downsiode for you is the PO bought into one of the crazy expensive set ups.
For example I have AP brakes on one of my cars,,, but can buy Coleman or other rotor rings for 1/4 the cost of AP branded rings of metal.
Look into other options before taking the brakes off.
The PFC brake gear is very nice, but retardedly expensive. Unless they use some super oddball bolt pattern I am betting you can tone down that consumable cost alot.
All you need to do is send one rotor to Coleman and have them quote it (or they may already have a replacement blank).
Good luck with the car, it looks like its really well developed. You did the exact thing people who build race cars,, tell other people to do,,, BUY someone elses built / proven car for pennies on the dollar.
