If this was addressed earlier please forgive me. This is my 2nd time putting a car in hibernating over the winter. The first car contained a lead battery and I didn't have any trouble keeping it charged over the winter. I now have a 2015 M4 which just went down for its winter nap. What I heard is that this car has a lithium battery and I needed to get a trickle charger that will accommodate. I purchased one especially from the BMW dealer for this type of battery (I now understand that CTEK has one that is cheaper - my mistake). Is there anything I should know about this charger or is it pretty straight forward. I've heard that if I leave the hood ajar, it may cause issues. I would appreciate any advice! Thank you!!

Me too... I was the first to have it around here. I've seen 4 others pop up over the span of a year.
Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by hundreds of engineers that get paid thousands of dollars for something you bought at Pep Boys because your buddy who doesn't have a job told you it was 'better'?!?
