Hi guys its been a few years but im back
Had a kid, new job, new place.
Anyways,
I have a clean title California car
2001 740i M Sport Alpine white Black interior
M sport wheels
M sport steering wheel
wide nav screen
seat warmers and the interior is very clean
new tires
new breaks
new rotors
mostly dealer parts
has 150k miles
long story short, my guides went out and i don't have a trusted mechanic to do the job.
im considering doing the guides, but sometimes i think just swapping the engine is easier for everyone.
My best friend just gifted me a 06 760li for my birthday and im a little over the e38 for the time being
if anyone is interested to make an offer send me a message
im selling as is and will upload pics in a couple days
if i get low ball offers ill probably just do the guides and disappear for a couple years lol
let me know, i know last time i didn't respond to all the messages but this time i will
Where is the car, what is the price, any other issues with the vehicle? Understood guides are bad, does the car run? Has it jumped timing?
Some Places remain unknown because no one has ventured forth. Others remain so because no one has ever come back......
The car started making noise and a mechanic tool cover off and chain was loose. So technically it runs but with noise
I’m taking offer I don’t need it anymore
Give us an idea as what you would entertain for an offer. Your idea of a low ball offer could be different than what we think.

Just throw a number to entertain, I know it’s getting harder and harder to find this car, but I also know it’ll need repairs, trans was great drove super smooth.
“Offer up” a number lol
I'm in Phoenix and my shop does a whole bunch of guide jobs regularly for a pretty good price. Dunno if you still care to get the guides done, just putting that out there. Maybe if the next owner is on the West coast something can be worked out
1995 525i 5-speed - Thread
Well since there’s thread police on here, if someone’s serious I’ll let it go for 2500. I’m not wanting to put anymore money into it anymore, I just spent around 1400 for new hankook tires rotors and breaks and I’m just over it at this point .
If I find someone in so cal to do the job or a really low mile replacement engine within the next week , I might just go ahead and keep it. So if anyone is willing to buy or offer, there’s a number for you
What ever happened to this e38? Still available?
Pm sent
