What is the function on the inner lamp of these headlamps.
I never see it come on. High beams seem to be stage two of the outer lamp.
Or is there something wrong with my bi-xenon headlamps?
Bi Xenon means xenon + halogen.
Xenons are your high and low beams.
Halogen are for cornering assist, flash to pass and reversing.
Thanks,. So the inside lamps are halogens?
They're cornering lights. They come on with the directionals if you have your headlight switch in the automatic position (all the way left). They started with this nonsense in the E90.
I was just looking it up and it appears they switched to the fog-lights in the F30. Nevermind.
I posted on the lighting section a question concerning my lights. I thought the angel eye had slipped down on the high beam light, but actually it is just the chrom trim ring that has slipped.
Is it possible to correct this without removing the entire headlight assy?
Also, does anyone know if I can replace the yellow color eyes, with the LED lights that are available on the web?
My car is an 08, 650i, e64.
Not sure i get that.
My fog lights are down much lower to the ground. What do the inside lamps have to do with the fog lights.? Thanks.
Well, well. Who would have thought? That is pretty interesting.
So if the fog lights have that function, what's the point on the inner light?
Or maybe it's just a reflector .
Anyway thanks for that.
I'm planning to convert the factory headlights with projector of my 2004 330Ci convertible to HID system. I would like to add halos as well and I was asked of the measurements the halos that I need. Does anyone know what halos do I need. The measurement that are listed are 60mm to 155mm (Profile Pivot Ring w/Driver (Switchboard). thank you in advance

Low beam not working, but high beams are okay on my 2004 330ci convertible. I replaced one of the bub and I saw a little spark as soon I plugged the connection. Turned the low beams on and still didn't work. any idea what's wrong?
