i just bought 19 and 20 while i'm in "there"..... and yes, i remember from the 2800 CS how difficult it can be pushing the spring in and get it threaded .. under that tension it's difficult to keep the plug level ….
Just don't know what's the use of that silly one way protection cap ? Protection against what ? if it's leaking, it's leaking…. the only thing i can think of is leaking oil protects the outside thread/nut from corrosion ?

I had the same issue with a leaky timing chain tensioner, but since the oil was pooling at the bottom of my A/C compressor, I originally thought it was an issue with my compressor (that's why the title of the thread has nothing to do with timing chain tensioners). User "8eights" finally clued me in to the cause so scroll down to post #22 in the thread above. Post #23 has a PDF of my write-up. Hopefully you'll find something helpful.

This just reminded me to put that cap piece on! (don't know why I didn't when I did the job last year).

Thank you all for the tips and advice. Will get it replaced when the parts get here.
On a side note, anybody know where these 2 plugs (Black & White) go? Was cable tied underneath one of the wiring harnesses.
