I was wondering what you guys prefer either a scanner like a Peake Research or software on a laptop for troubleshooting CEL. If you opt to use the software, what痴 your setup?
I知 asking because I recently purchased a 2002 M5 that needs some work. I have a Peake Research Tool for my E36 and I知 debating on buying the adapter or something new all together.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
I am trying to figure that out also.... just bought a 2008 650i, with 75k.
I am leaning to the soft ware laptop, but seems like many of those use techs
that will link into your computer, that I do not like.
I have a 2001 540i that I need to change a few things like daytime running lights. I tried the bimmercode app and icar pro 4.0 bluetooth adaptor and it would not connect. Information I have found states that the e39 is not supported in that app. Need to know what others have used with success. I have noticed that the NCS Expert soft ware and cable seems to have been successful for others.
Any help would be appreciated.
I just picked up this scanner from a local guy. It takes a little bit of diving into but I like it so far. There are several things that you can do with it. I知 currently using it for my 2002 M5 and hoping soon I値l buy the adapter so that I can use it on my 1994 325i. Mainly just to compare its functions to the Peake Research Tool that I already have.
