Hi All,
Bit of a long shot here, but I was wondering if there is a coding method to sooner engage the DME control of the thermostat's heating element. I'm pretty happy with the car as a whole since it hasn't had many problems in my short amount of ownership. However, I do not like the amount of heat that builds up due to the 105c thermostat. Solutions are to change the thermostat element to one that is cooler, but that is another failure point. I know on M62 engines, some had a similar hybrid thermostat that also had a heater element built in to the point one member I think on bimmerforums created a small chipset to modulate the pwm by tapping into various DME measurement points in the wiring harness. I don't have a desire for playing with the electronics in this car, hence the DME control thought. Any information would be great!
Thanks!
