Goddamnnnnt.
BMW Coding Tool started hanging up with "File name or class name not found during Automation operation" every time I try to select any kind of a folder.
Googling shows that error with a bunch of VBA stuff which isn't helpful. Have tried a bunch of things, googling around it seems maybe MicroSucks released some updates that might have broken old applications. This is a Win7 Pro x64 machine. App starts up and looks good, its only when you try to point to an SPDaten folder or change the default application folders that it tosses the error...
Anybody else have problems w/ it? I know this forum doesn't have a ton of traffic but just in case...
Its super annoying not to have that tool which is very handy for being able to reload various data sets without screwing things up...

Try this code below in command prompt as Administrator. It should work:
regsvr32 /s c:\Windows\SysWOW64\scrrun.dll
Thanks Reznik - I got this to work eventually.
After I posted this I found 2-3 other programs that were also broken apparently by some Windows Update release. Some other flash programs were not working, NavCoder was not working... common thread seemed like perhaps something related to programs written in VB requiring VB runtimes? But never could really confirm the technical details of the problem.
I can't remember exactly what I did to fix this but I believe I uninstalled a bunch of Windows Updates, then ran SFC.exe, and then I might have run another MS 'fixit' type tool - like some other file/folder utility...
Then I re-ran Windows Update to let it reinstall updates from the cumulative packages, and that completed fine. System is working perfectly now and now continues to update fine with no issues.
