i was wondering is there still a way to get the m tech plastic trim pieces for the front and rear bumper besides used ones?
If memory serves me right, a user here imported the last remaining M Sport piece from Germany a few years back. There may or may not be ///M5 ones left / in production (assuming you are aware that there are separate front bumpers for the M5 and the 540i with the M Sport package?). You might reach out to your local dealer's parts department and see if they can find one across the pond laying around?
It will be prohibitively expensive either way. You'd save considerable money buying a used one (even a little banged up) and restoring it.
I went to realoem.com and pulled up the catalog for a 4/93 USA M5. Here's the relevant page: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=51_0668
You can see that 1 and 2 are "ENDED", however I still see a price for "Trim Panel - M TECHNIC". Small sum of $756.60
When the part number is copy / pasted to a browser, there is a GA dealer claiming to have it. Their price? $861

Or the TO posted in the wrong forum, as he does not own an E34?

Maybe, but would there really be a question over whether or not parts for an E92 are still available?
