Our fellow board member Ed aka BoolJames, bought his Zinno 745i from the seller of this Lapis Blau car. This car is a Craigslist quick flip. Here is an incomplete list of what all is wrong with this car I have found:
Nearly all photographs taken in poor lighting.
Seller took the Bilsteins and LSD from the Zinno car and installed on the Lapis per Ed. The 'PO' did not do it per the ad
This car does NOT have power recline rear seats per the ad.
The EH transmission is not in the vehicle, unless proven otherwise. There is a throttle valve cable up to the throttle body to control shift points and pressure on an non EH unit. Blatant as can be.
Fitment of the hood is incorrect.
Rear view mirror is a rectangle
Low quality paint respray
Passenger motor mount appears collapsed
Change in the center air vents for some reason
Car has been dragged on the rear a bunch, muffler looks bad. Appears to have a hole at the front side of it toward the trailing arm
Positive battery terminal barely connected
Driver's seat appears very saggy
Low quality tires installed
No full undercarriage shots
VDO odometers can and do slip not reporting proper mileage for the mile per hour. I would like to see a video of car running at a good clip down the freeway and the miles reporting back on the odometer. It would be great if this is a true 50k area car.
Not saying my cars are perfect and certainly do not claim they are to anyone. Hope it helps guys, just watching out for us.

Thank you for the heads up! This one showed up in my email and I was considering it, but think I may leave it be now.
Not saying total turd, but without piles of undercarriage pictures and a video of it driving...who knows. The car is being advertised in a deceptive manner and that is not good. Does it even still have the 'TURBO' cast cylinder head?
I cannot say the value on it because they are all over the place. Body looks solid, interior clean enough. It just needs a pile of TLC. Just do not expect a turn key car.

Hey I'd give 2k if it runs and drives with no rust.

Geez, and they wouldn't even list mine! I suppose having an e23 at all isn't rare enough, it has to be Euro :P
There's an E23 on Ebay for sale. I wonder if you guys know this one. They're asking almost 20 grand for it, but I believe it was an auction car. Here.....check two links.

Same VIN. Good profit if it sells for more than half the ask.
Good points here and also on the BaT comments. Buyer will need to come out of pocket even more to make it to reliable.
The only thing I'd raise an eyebrow at is the non EH trans. That is unfortunate. Everything else is commensurate with an old, inexpensive car. It has some issues but doesn't look terrible for the current $4,000 price. If it's rust free it's worth it to me.

Found awesome BMW 635 https://abetter.bid/en/23142609-1986-bmw-635_csi_au The back side of the car needs a pain job but overall seems like a good car. What do you guys think? Also front seats I think need to be replaced.
