My bmw e36 323i 1996 just randomly started sputtering so i thought i was out of fuel but this wasnt the case as it turned off so i got some fuel and it did nothing. After letting it sit it turned on again but now it sputters when i throttle and if i turn it off it wont start easily. Here is a video of me throttling it and what it does.
Also Im holding the throttle down in the video.

How many miles on the engine and what is your service history?
Do you have a CE light illuminated in the dash, what are your codes?

With you revving the engine we cannot hear anything to help.
Attn. NEWBIES: Use the search feature, 98% has already been discussed.
Click the search button, select "search single content type", select the "e36 sub forum" specifically, try the "search titles" then try the "search entire posts".
155000km on the engine and their is no lights on the dash. It has obd1 but i cant check codes as the pedal five times does nothing

I checked my fuel pressure vacuum lines and intake boot and their are no cracks
If its 1996 its most likely OBD2.. and for your issue, smoke test it first before you do anything. I literally used a hand pump from home depot and a black and mild cigar and attached it on the intake manifold where the brake booster hose connects to and smoked it out. Honestly thats your best bet. The pump is less than $10 and the black and mild is $1. If you dont want to do this then goodluck because searching on forums all day wont help if you dont want to do any real troubleshooting instead of just "looking" at places where a problem could be. If you want to know more on how to use this ghetto smoke tester that works 100% then lmk.
