No boost - P0237 - Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure live reading never changes

    Hello,

    My car
( 2003 320d e46 )has no boost and after I connected to diagnostic test it came as P0237.

    P0237 - Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Sensor "A" Circuit Low

What I noticed on Scanmaster live data reading is my Intake Manifold Absolute Pressure is fixed at 18kpa regardless the engine rev. It never changes.

Can I assume my MAP sensor is faulty ?

    Thanks

How good is a "Scanmaster" at reading live data from older BMWs? I have known many scan tools which don't see certain data from certain cars, and substitute a set value. Past that, well , MAPs are pretty cheap, as sensors go. If the scan tool is decent, and the sensor wires/plug look intact, I'd throw that sensor. (Original Equipment Manufacturer ONLY, no Chinese crap sensor!)

OP, get the OBDFusion app for your smartphone or tablet. Then go to E46Fanatics and search for threads on OBDFusion in which jfoj has commented. He’s the guru. His post should tell you which adapter to buy, how to set up the app and how to log data. The adapter plugs into the obd2 plug. If your smartphone or tablet is iOS thr adapter should be WiFi. Android uses Bluetooth.

Solved : MAP sensor cable was unplugged. I noticed that someone open the engine covers before, maybe they just forgot to connect it back. After connecting the MAP sensor back car is now much much better. No any warning lights.
